The Shortlist is where you track prospects you’re interested in across all your searches — a lightweight CRM for outbound recruiting.
View your shortlist
Click Shortlist at the bottom of the sourcing sidebar. You’ll see every shortlisted prospect in one place, with two view options:
- Table — Sortable columns for name, email, status, role, and company
- Board — Kanban-style columns organized by pipeline stage
Pipeline stages
Track where each prospect is in your outreach process:
| Stage | Meaning |
|---|
| Not Contacted | Default stage for newly shortlisted prospects |
| Contacted | You’ve reached out (set automatically when you email from Loam) |
| Interested | They’ve responded positively — optionally convert them to a candidate |
| Not Interested | They’ve declined or gone cold |
Change a prospect’s stage from the Status dropdown in the table view, or drag cards between columns in the board view.
Get email addresses
Use Reveal Email next to any prospect to look up their email address. You can also manually enter an email by clicking the edit icon.
Email reveals use credits from your plan. Check Settings → Billing to see your remaining balance.
Convert to a candidate
When a prospect is ready to enter your hiring pipeline, set their stage to Interested. Loam will prompt you to pick a published job — the prospect becomes a candidate in your ATS, placed in the first active pipeline stage with their LinkedIn and email carried over.
You can also skip the job selection and just mark someone as Interested without converting them yet.
Converting a prospect to a candidate is a one-way action — the prospect will be marked as converted and linked to the job.
