# AI Chat

> Ask questions about your pipeline in natural language.

Loam's AI Chat lets you interact with your hiring pipeline using natural language — search candidates, get stats, and take actions without leaving the chat.

## What you can do

**Query your pipeline:**

* "How many candidates are in the Interview stage for Senior Engineer?"
* "Which role has the most applicants?"

**Search candidates:**

* "Find candidates with React experience"
* "Show me candidates from Google or Meta"

**Take actions:**

* "Move Sarah Chen to the Interview stage"
* "Add a note to John's application: Great portfolio, schedule a call"

  Actions taken through chat are real and immediate — they're logged in the activity timeline just like any other action.

## Tips

* Type `@` to mention specific jobs or candidates when names are ambiguous
* Chat sessions are automatically saved — return to previous conversations anytime
* The AI can search the web to enrich candidate information (e.g., looking up a company they worked at)
