## What's in a brief

| Field                   | Description                                         |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| **Summary**             | 1–2 sentence overview of the candidate's experience |
| **Work history** | Companies, titles, and dates |
| **Education** | Schools, degrees, and graduation years |
| **Skills**              | Up to 15 extracted skills                           |
| **Years of experience** | Estimated total based on work history |
| **Links** | LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, and other URLs |

## Data sources

The AI merges information from the uploaded **resume** (PDF or DOCX) and the candidate's **LinkedIn URL** (if provided) to build the most complete picture.

## Where briefs appear

* **Application detail page** — Full brief with all fields
* **Triage view** — Brief in the detail pane alongside the resume
* **Board and Table views** — Key data points in card previews and columns

<Tip>
  Set the resume field to "Required" in your job's application form for the most complete briefs.
